my husband and i owe our landlord somemoney on a nsf check, but i have been paying on it and know that we have moved out she is threatening to send the check to the county attorney’s office, does anyone know if she can do this or not

Your landlord can do that.
I recommend that you talk to an attorney tomorrow if your landlord is threatening to turn the check over to the District Attorney.
Of course she can. As you describe the situation the County would send back a form letter and take no action.
By allowing you to make payments your landlord has lost any chance for criminal charges being filed.
This is a civil matter at this point, and she can easily go to small claims court & win a judgement against you, which can be enforced if you have any assets or are employed.
