I have a landlord who won’t fix things. I need to find attorney in Nebraska who can help me.?

there still housing codes that haven’t been take care of in the house I rent. I feel that the landlord thinks since I’m a lady, that he can tell me he’ll do things and don’t. I’ve had problems with my sewer, I thought it was fix but 2 days later my toliet wouldn’t flush, so I called my landlord and told him about it, he came over and looked at it and told me that my BM is too hard and I should start taking a stool softner and he was going to give me some information on one. Also while I was gone his handyman came into my house and trimmed his facial hair. He left his hair in the bathroom sink.

You can terminate your lease on the ground of landlord’s non-fulfillment of obligations. It constitutes breach of the agreement to keep the leased premises in good condition so that the tenant (you) can live there peacefully and comfortably in exchange for the rent that you pay him (the landlord) every month.

call your apartment ass in your state and read your lease.
you can also send him a certified letter stating to do the repairs with 10 days or you will legally move out

Make a documented list of all the habitability issues, and code violations, then find a new place to live with the money that you budgeted to pay your attorney’s fees.(You were going to pay him weren’t you?) If your complaints are valid he will lose in small claims court if or when he sues you for breaching the lease.
